Geography Society

  • Objectives

    • To provide students with a specific and in-depth understanding of Hong Kong’s natural and cultural landscape through field trips and visits, thereby arousing their interest in geography and enhancing their awareness of environmental protection.

  • Activities

    • Students will learn to read maps and use a compass and mobile apps on field trips.

    • Students will witness the change in land use in the countryside, the decline of old inner cities, and urban renewal development.

    • Senior students taking Geography as an elective for HKDSE must participate in field trips organised by the Caritas Chan Chun Ha Field Studies Centre or the Ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre. They will master collecting data, conducting experiments, and analysing results. Consequently, students will enhance their reporting skills, develop problem-solving abilities, and better understand the importance of teamwork.

    • Students will participate in activities organised by environmental protection groups.
